Stephanie young


holds a Bachelor of Music degree from UW-Milwaukee, and did post graduate work at Alverno College. She performs regularly with Fretless Strings, Bowtime, Nine Worlds Ensemble, Animal Farm, Electric 5, and occasionally with various orchestras. She has played with such notables as the rock band Kansas, Peter Cetera from the rock group Chicago, Rod Stewart, Final Fantasy "Distant Worlds:  Milwaukee" show, Doc Severinsen, Legend of Zelda:  Symphony of the Goddesses, and most recently at Riot Fest with That Dog. Stephanie has recorded music for Milwaukee Public Television and for composers such as Thor BremerLuke Wieting, and  Tammy Ann Winn.  Besides performing, Ms. Young has completed SAA teacher training in Suzuki Violin Books 1-3 and enjoys teaching violin, viola, and piano at home and at The Music Suite in Naperville, IL.  


Fretless strings

is based in Chicagoland but provides a variety of string music for special events in the Illinois, Wisconsin, and surrounding areas.  Fretless Strings makes their music vital and exciting by performing current pop, rock, and jazz music while continuing to play timeless classical music.  Musicians in the Fretless Strings family are all top-notch professionals who, in addition to performing with Fretless Strings, perform regularly in orchestras, chamber groups, and many other settings.  Hire solo violin, duo, trio, or quartet for any of your special occasions!



is a violin and marimba based ensemble, which offers Duo (violin and marimba), Trio (violin, marimba, and bass), Bowtime Quartet (violin, marimba, guitar and bass, or bass), and Quintet (violin, marimba, guitar, bass, piano). Bowtime performs covers whihle Nine Worlds Ensemble (violin, marimba, guitar, bass, piano, and percussion) performs original, “chamber pop” works with an educational element. Regardless of the size of the ensemble, Bowtime and Nine Worlds present a unique sound, energy, and musical versatility which spans nearly all styles and genres.
